The Maltese Sun Hotel - Sliema

Oh where do I start? The room was dark and dusty, and don't even get me started on the bed linen, stained and gray. I felt the 100 euro deposit was utterly ridiculous for such a basic guesthouse. Honestly, I almost thought about leaving a good review, but I just couldn't!

Polite stuff and huge rooms, we had a delightful experience. Location: the hotel was close to the sea, pubs and restaurants as well as bus station. The service was top-notch with parking nearby.

Seriously, those rooms need better sound insulation!!! More attention to cleaning in shared kitchens is also a must!!! Many areas felt quite dated, really wanting some upgrading to enhance the overall ambiance!!!

Savoury breakfast with waffles and jams, as for instance, extremely helpful and extra attentive workers. Perfect setting in the very quite area, really close to the famous sandy beach, the airport which arrived on time, and Valletta and other areas of the island. Besides, easy to get to Sliema promenade.

Fast wifi was great, but the laundry service took longer than expected.

The room was super clean and comfy, and I adored being able to change towels anytime-ideal for a week-long escape! Plus, the laundry service was a steal at 7 euros. I seemed like a fancy hotel guest.

I wouldn't say the coffee could wake a sleeping beauty, but we can't all be perfect, can we? Just be prepared to tackle the towel monster if you forget to request a change!

My experience was marred by musty odors and an unwelcoming atmosphere. I waited too long for check-in, and the bathroom had a sewage smell. I sought an earlier checkout, but was met with rudeness instead. Avoid if seeking comfort.

The location is really good, just steps away from the gorgeous Sliema promenade and key bus stops.

A small fridge in the room would be nice.

Staying at the Maltese Sun was a good experience! The location was fantastic. Just a short stroll to the Sliema waterfront and bus stops. The breakfast on the lovely rooftop terrace was a highlight, with a variety of tasty options that provided a perfect start to the day. Especially Yaseer, were genuinely helpful in offering travel tips.

Maltese sun is a charming old town house, just steps away from the sea. The breakfast on the rooftop was fantastic, with lots of tasty options. The staff offered amazing service, especially jessica, who organized a takeaway breakfast for my early flight. The friendly atmosphere and attention to detail.

Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, the location is excellent and just a short walk from the ferry terminal to Valletta, which makes exploring the island very convenient.

Nothing not to love.

The breakfast on the terrace was such a lovely way to start each day, and I especially enjoyed lounging in the cozy garden area for some quiet time. There's also a rooftop sun terrace that’s perfect for catching some rays after exploring the town. The only downside was some occasional wifi hiccups, but honestly, I was there to relax anyway! 😊

The room had a beautiful view of the courtyard and had stylish decor, plus the bed was exceptionally comfortable.
